Bio

 

Kathleen McGookey
Kathleen McGookey earned her MFA and PhD from Western Michigan University.  She has taught courses in literature and creative writing at Hope College, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and Western Michigan University.  Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she has lived in Michigan all her life, except for one year when she lived in Paris.  Her work appears in the anthologies The Party Train:  A Collection of North American Prose Poetry (New Rivers Press, 1995), The Best of The Prose Poem:  An International Journal (White Pine Press, 2000), and New Poems from the Third Coast:  Contemporary Michigan Poetry (Wayne State, 2000).  Her poems have also appeared in literary magazines including Boston Review, Epoch, Field, The Laurel Review, The Prose Poem:   An International Journal, Seneca Review and Quarterly West.
